Missouri’s Largest Oak Tree
Add this to your Missouri bucket list! The McBaine Burr Oak is Missouri’s largest oak tree in Columbia, Missouri. It is also known as “The Big Tree.” At nearly 400 years old it stands 89 feet high and 130 feet wide, its trunk is 287 inches in circumference. Seeing it in pictures is one thing, but being there in person is unlike anything else. You can feel the energy here and the test of time. We stopped here on the way to Ha Ha Tonka State Park it was a quick stop but well worth it, so inspiring to see in person!
