Orchids by Hauserman

Orchids by Hausermann is one of my favorite places on earth. Seriously. It is such a dream to be surrounded by so many orchids especially on a winter’s day.

Orchids by Hausermann is the largest producer of orchids in the United States, and you wouldn’t expect it, but they are located in Villa Park, IL. Their business is over 100 years old and the property is larger than 3 acres. Visitors are welcome to take a self-guided tour through the greenhouses.

Once you are inside, it really does feel special just being here. The humidity feels nice and warm and they play music for the plants. It’s a whole vibe just being here, and very relaxing. Truly a Chicagoland gem that not too many people know about.

The photographs that I captured here today were with my Canon EOS-R and I used both my 60mm fixed lens and 28-300mm zoom lens. It is hard not to feel inspired here when you are surrounded with so much beauty.
